About Metropol Theatre
Metropol Theatre, also called Tirana Theatre, was founded in 2008 as part of the city’s Cultural Centre, which also runs the Tirana Folk Ensemble, the City Band and the Agimi and Lapraka cinemas. It stages quality plays by Albanian authors alongside well-known international works, plus shows for children, teenagers and adults, in two halls of about 220 seats. Most performances are in Albanian, but children’s and physical theatre shows are easy to enjoy. It is on Rruga Dedë Gjo Luli, north-west of the square.
