Albania’s national opera and ballet company performs in the Palace of Culture on Skanderbeg Square, the country’s largest theatre, with a season of opera, ballet and concerts by the National Symphony Orchestra. The first opera staged here was La Traviata in December 1956. Tickets are very reasonably priced by European standards, and sold daily at the box office from 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm. Programmes are on the theatre’s website; check the venue for each performance.
