About New Bazaar market halls

The covered market halls of the New Bazaar are the place to shop for Albanian produce: raki, olive oil, honey, mountain tea, dried herbs, olives, cheese and seasonal fruit, sold by producers and traders who are happy to let you taste. The setting, among the colourful façades of the 2017 renovation, is lovely. Go in the morning, when the stalls are full and locals are shopping, and take cash. Bottles of raki and jars of honey make good gifts to take home.
