Rinia Park

Rinia Park, the Youth Park, was laid out in 1950 beside the main boulevard near the Pyramid, covering about three hectares. In the 1990s illegal buildings sprang up around it, and they were cleared in 2000 as part of the city’s green clean-up. Today it is a small green space with fountains, the Taiwan complex of cafés and the 2012 Independence Monument, a pleasant pause on a walk between Skanderbeg Square and Blloku. Children love the playground in the evenings.
