About Durrës seafront & beaches
The seafront promenade of Durrës passes the Venetian Tower, the old walls and the port, with cafés and restaurants for an evening walk. Long sandy beaches stretch south of the city towards Golem, lined with hotels and beach bars and busy with Tirana families in summer, when the sea is warm and shallow. For quieter sand, head north to the Bay of Lalzi or Cape Rodon. In winter the promenade is calm and pleasant on a sunny day.
