About Komiteti (raki bar)
In the evening, Komiteti’s rooms of vintage Albanian objects become one of the most interesting places in the city to taste raki. The list covers plum, mulberry, grape, quince and many other varieties, from distillers all over the country, and the staff are happy to explain the differences. Start with a tasting of three or four, with a plate of cheese and olives, and take it slowly: Albanian raki is strong. It is near the New Bazaar, an easy walk from the centre.
