About Preza Castle
Preza Castle stands on a hill near Tirana International Airport, looking across the valley to Krujë. Construction began in the 14th century and finished in the early 15th, and it belonged to the Topia, a local feudal family; it is now a cultural monument. Inside the walls a large grassy courtyard is ideal for picnics, and a restaurant serves traditional food. It makes a pleasant stop on the way to or from the airport or Krujë, and the views at sunset are lovely.
