Sali Shijaku’s villa
A painter’s 300-year-old house
About Sali Shijaku’s villa
This villa on Rruga Vildan Luarasi in the old Selvia quarter is one of the most complete examples of traditional Tirana architecture, about three hundred years old and declared a first-category cultural monument in 1973. It belongs to the family of the painter Sali Shijaku, who lived and worked here, and his work can be seen in the main hall. It was restored in 2020 after the 2019 earthquake. A bar in the courtyard lets you sit with a drink and enjoy the setting; be respectful, as it is a private home.
