About Museum of the Bank of Albania
The Museum of the Bank of Albania opened on 30 October 2015 inside the headquarters of the central bank on Skanderbeg Square. Over two floors it displays coin hoards, ancient coins, banknotes, cheques, bonds, medals and ethnographic objects, and the former banking hall explains the bank’s role, founded in 1925 and renamed in 1992. Films, apps, quizzes and a hologram room make it a good stop with children. It is a short, interesting visit between the mosque and the Opera; check opening days before you go.
