About Zoopark Tirana
Zoopark Tirana is the only zoo in Albania, built in 1960–61 and set in about six hectares between the Grand Park and the Botanical Garden. It reopened in June 2022 after a renovation that gave the animals much more space. It is run by the municipality, opens Tuesday to Sunday, closes for a break in the early afternoon, and tickets cost a few hundred lek, with reductions for children and students. It is a good half-day with children, combined with a walk round the lake and a coffee by the water.
