About Getting to the Riviera
Buses run from Tirana to Sarandë, either inland via Gjirokastër or along the coast, and to Himarë; journey times are long, around five to seven hours, so check them the day before. A car lets you stop at coves and viewpoints, and drive the Llogara Pass in daylight. From Sarandë, ferries cross to Corfu. In summer, start early to avoid heat and traffic, and book accommodation ahead, as the coast fills quickly in August.
