The lock-in tower, Kulla e Ngujimit, is a stone tower house in Theth where, under the old customary law of the Kanun, men threatened by a blood feud could shut themselves away in safety, sometimes for years. Narrow slit windows, thick walls and a single door explain how it worked. It is now a small museum, often shown by the family who own it, who tell the story of the Kanun and the valley. It is a short walk from the church.
