Buses and furgons run from Tirana to Krujë in about an hour, from the North and South terminal; by car or taxi it is around 45 minutes, up a winding road from Fushë-Krujë. It makes an easy half-day trip, or a stop on the way north to Shkodër or on the way to the airport, about half an hour away. The castle and bazaar are a short walk from where buses stop. Combine it with Preza Castle for sunset views.
