Getting to Durrës

Buses run frequently between Tirana and Durrës, taking around forty minutes to an hour depending on traffic, from the North and South terminal on the Durrës road. A bus also links Durrës with the airport. By taxi, it is around forty minutes. The new railway, when it opens, expected in late 2027, will link the two cities and the airport. Durrës is an easy half-day or full-day trip from the capital, and the port has ferries to Italy.
