About Dhërmi & Gjipe
Dhërmi has long pebble beaches and an old village on the hill above, with churches and lanes worth a wander. Gjipe, a bay at the mouth of an 800-metre limestone canyon between Dhërmi and Vuno, is reached on foot or by boat, and is one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast, recognised as an Important Plant Area for its rare species. Bring water and shoes for the walk down, and avoid the midday heat in summer.
