Kepi i Rodonit, also called Skanderbeg’s Cape, is a rocky headland on the Adriatic north of Durrës. On it stand the ruins of Rodoni Castle, built by Skanderbeg in 1463, partly fallen into the sea, and the small church of St Anthony. The walk along the cape is lovely, with views back along the coast, and beaches in the bay to the south are quieter than Durrës. It is about an hour’s drive from Tirana.
Why it's on our list
- Skanderbeg’s castle of 1463
- St Anthony’s church
- Quiet beaches
