About Tirana Circus
The Tirana Circus, Cirku Kombëtar, was founded in 1952 by a group of well-known Albanian artists including Telat Agolli and Bajram Kurti. It had its most successful years during the communist era and struggled after it, but since 2010 it has increased its performances again, and it now gives regular shows, usually on Sundays. It is run under the Ministry of Culture and remains popular with Tirana families. It is a fun, old-fashioned outing with children; check the current programme locally before you go.
