Farka Lake
A loop for walkers and cyclists
About Farka Lake
Farka is a village 8 kilometres east of the centre, its name taken from farkëtar, blacksmith, and at its heart is a lake circled by a modern promenade. You can walk or cycle all the way around, stop on the benches to admire the view, or picnic on the grass with Tirana families at the weekend. Local cycle tours combine Farka Lake with the Grand Park lake in a figure-of-eight loop. It is an easy escape from the city on a sunny day, close to the Sauk area.
