About Himarë
Himarë has a long beach, a hilltop castle quarter with old churches and views over the sea, and good coves within reach, such as Llamani and Potami. It is a relaxed base for the central Riviera, with restaurants serving fresh fish, and less crowded than Ksamil or Sarandë. Walk up to the castle in the early evening for the sunset. The town has a long Greek-speaking tradition, and you will hear Greek and Albanian in the cafés.
